How connected is the MCU?

Recently Chloe Bennet, who plays Daisy Johnson on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. complained of one sidedness of the interconnectivity when it came to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the shows on T.V. and she has a very valid point. Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones have all referenced what takes place on the big screen, there hasn’t really been any events from TV that have shaped the MCU. Well that all might be about to change and in a very very big way.

Rumor is (I know I hate rumors, but don’t ruin this for me. I literally squealed like a schoolgirl when I read this) that Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin in the upcoming movie Spider-man Homecoming. If this is true this would be the first time that a character first seen on TV would jump to the big screen, and go along way to showing that both TV and film have an impact and fans should be watching both.

Spiderman has one of the deepest rogues gallery of any of Marvel’s superheroes, and a character like the Kingpin will never be the main villain in any stand alone movie, he is a constant thorn in Spidey’s side in the comics, and his inclusion (even as a cameo) would be a great service to the fans, and a big step to showing just how connected the MCU is.

Sound off below and let me know what you think. Now if you will excuse me, I am off to imagine Kingpin and Spidey coming face to face.
