Scott Park took some of the most iconic vehicles of film and television and gave them a Mad Max makeover. What’s cooler that seeing the Krystal Ship or the A-Team van transformed for survival in the post-apocalypse? Seeing the Bluth stair car outfitted with machine guns, and the Pizza Planet truck equipped with a harpoon gun.
The Press Tube channel on YouTube is always entertaining, but they may have reached their pinnacle today with this 1:09 video of a hydraulic press crushing a can of Silly String. Click on the video below and enjoy!
So normally I am not one to post on rumors, but I just couldn’t pass up on this one! The newest rumor sweeping through the Geek community is that Nathan Fillion will don the mantle of Captain of the USS Enterprise for the new Star Trek series on CBS All Access that will debut in the fall. Again remember this is rumor only, but lets take a look at some of the reasons this might be true, because for a few minutes lets sit back and bask in the glory that would be if Nathan Fillion were to be sitting here! Ladies and Gentlemen,
How are we today? Good? Hopefully so. I bring you interesting news from the Power Ranger fandom, it looks like we are getting a reunion of sorts… I need to really emphasize the “of sorts” parts here, because at a best we have a SyFy special and at worst we have a pipe-dream. “The Order” appears to be the brain child of Karan Ashley (MMPR Yellow Ranger) and David Fielding (Zordon). For those of you not in the know, the cast members of the Power Ranger series ( 20+ seasons worth) are quite popular on the convention circuit and there has been an out cry for a reunion series with the actors from across the seasons. Most recently when the climax of “Super Megaforce” turned out to be such a letdown.
Happy Friday SLC Nerds! Here’s four minutes of Matthew McConaughey making odd noises. We are sharing it below because we love you.
Yesterday, The Asylum released the first Sharknado: The Fourth Awakens poster to coincide with Star Wars Day. The new poster is a blatant rip off the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it is exactly what you would expect from a Sharknado film including flying cows. Check it out after the break.
So today is Intergalactic Star Wars Day, and I being a giant geek decided I would write down the top 10 things I learned from the original Star Wars Trilogy.
#10 No one will mess with you if you play the imperial death march when you enter a room.
#9 Just because your army is expendable doesn’t mean you shouldn’t teach them how to aim.
#8 The coolest way to respond to someone saying they love you is to reply “I know”…
#7 Discretion is the better part of valor, let the wookie win.
#6 Always double check, those might BE the droids you’re looking for.
#5 Do or do not, there is no try.
#4 It is never too late to find redemption.
#3 Don’t judge people based on appearance, someone you dismiss at first might end up being a Jedi Master.
#2 Be careful who you kiss, she may end up being your sister.
#1 The force will be with you, always.
Happy Star Wars Day Everyone!
