So normally I am not one to post on rumors, but I just couldn’t pass up on this one! The newest rumor sweeping through the Geek community is that Nathan Fillion will don the mantle of Captain of the USS Enterprise for the new Star Trek series on CBS All Access that will debut in the fall. So today is Intergalactic Star Wars Day, and I being a giant geek decided I would write down the top 10 things I learned from the original Star Wars Trilogy.

#10 No one will mess with you if you play the imperial death march when you enter a room.
#9 Just because your army is expendable doesn’t mean you shouldn’t teach them how to aim.
#8 The coolest way to respond to someone saying they love you is to reply “I know”
#7 Discretion is the better part of valor, let the wookie win.
#6 Always double check, those might BE the droids you’re looking for.
#5 Do or do not, there is no try.
#4 It is never too late to find redemption.
#3 Don’t judge people based on appearance, someone you dismiss at first might end up being a Jedi Master.
#2 Be careful who you kiss, she may end up being your sister.
#1 The force will be with you, always.

Happy Star Wars Day Everyone!

“I’m here to talk to you about the Avenger’s initiative.” With these ten words the Comic book movie was forever changed. No longer were Superheroes alone in their world, they were part of something bigger, they were part of a shared universe. Marvel released a total of five successful movies that slowly built towards their crown jewel, The Avengers. Warner Bros. looked at the success of the Avengers and wanted to form their own universe, a universe that would hold all of the D.C. superheroes, they hired Zack Snyder to help launch this universe, but Zach Snyder has failed.

How I became a Superhero

12417897_10154225078156777_8394965425782653078_nFor as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a Superhero. I grew up watching Batman and Spiderman on TV watching with bated breath as they fought villains and saved the day. I would read and reread Superhero books and comics until I could recite them by heart, I would pretend to be Peter Parker, struggling to fit in school, find friends and get the girl, but more than that I was also Spider-Man, the courageous hero who was willing to sacrifice everything for others. I would often daydream about what it would be like, to have people cheer when they saw me, to help those in need, to be able to save the day. In those fantasies, I became who I was always destined to be… A Superhero.
