John Boyega joins Pacific Rim 2

John Boyega has joined the cast as the son of Idris Elba‘s Stacker Pentecost. Brilliant casting and I can’t wait to see what Kaijus and Jaegers they create for the sequel. I have a real soft spot in my heart for the first film, and even though Guillermo Del Toro won’t be directing, he will be producing. The first film had moderate success in the US, but was a huge hit overseas, especially in the Asian markets. Casting Boyega, hot off Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a great way to bring new interest to the sequel. Are you excited to cancel the apocalypse again? Sound off below!Final_Four_Jaegers

I would often daydream about what it would be like, to have people cheer when they saw me, to help those in need, to be able to save the day. In those fantasies, I became who I was always destined to be… A Superhero.
