Exciting Photos from The Dark Tower Set – Roland and Richard Sayre

More photos from the set of “The Dark Tower”show Roland and Richard Sayre played by Jackie Earle Haley. For those that don’t remember, Sayre is a Low-Man or Can-toi, and is a servant to the Crimson King. He and Roland don’t cross paths in the book, where he is killed by Susannah after giving birth to Mordred, but since this is set AFTER the book series, anything is possible. He’s seen ripping a door off a car, and involved in a shootout with Roland.

Jackie Earle Haley has black dots on his face where it will be changed in post-production. The low-men actually have rat-like heads with a human mask over the top. From a distance they can pass as human, but up close you’ll notice an open wound in the forehead that the mask – itself a living organism, uses to breathe. I cannot wait to see this film. Any other Tower Junkies out there traveling the path of the beam? Comment below if Ka wills it.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Review

Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 is the latest and final entry of the Nathan Drake series. The original Uncharted was a game that was well-received by fans and critics alike. It was an original showcase of what sort of power that the Playstation 3 could harness. First-party developers usually were able to get the most out of the system due to their exclusivity to Sony consoles. Two more PS3 Uncharted games and a Vita title later; we now have Drake looking better than ever for his PS4 debut.

Spider-Man Homecoming Spoilers (Plot Leak)

marvel spiderman homecoming logo

Thanks to the shady corners of the internet that we call 4chan and Reddit, there have been some leaks relating to the story of the upcoming Spider-man film subtitled “Homecoming.” Spider-man isn’t the first film to have major leaks and while typical corporate leaks can range from casting choices to prototype footage, a la Deadpool, it’s not very often that the entirety of  a movies’ plot is leaked on purpose. Spoilers after the jump

How connected is the MCU?

MCU.jpg

Recently Chloe Bennet, who plays Daisy Johnson on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. complained of one sidedness of the interconnectivity when it came to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the shows on T.V. and she has a very valid point. Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones have all referenced what takes place on the big screen, there hasn’t really been any events from TV that have shaped the MCU. Well that all might be about to change and in a very very big way.

O Captain! My Captain!

star trek

So normally I am not one to post on rumors, but I just couldn’t pass up on this one! The newest rumor sweeping through the Geek community is that Nathan Fillion will don the mantle of Captain of the USS Enterprise for the new Star Trek series on CBS All Access that will debut in the fall. Again remember this is rumor only, but lets take a look at some of the reasons this might be true, because for a few minutes lets sit back and bask in the glory that would be if Nathan Fillion were to be sitting here! “The Order” – a reunion project

Ladies and Gentlemen,

How are we today? Good? Hopefully so. I bring you interesting news from the Power Ranger fandom, it looks like we are getting a reunion of sorts… I need to really emphasize the “of sorts” parts here, because at a best we have a SyFy special and at worst we have a pipe-dream. “The Order” appears to be the brain child of Karan Ashley (MMPR Yellow Ranger) and David Fielding (Zordon). For those of you not in the know, the cast members of the Power Ranger series ( 20+ seasons worth) are quite popular on the convention circuit and there has been an out cry for a reunion series with the actors from across the seasons. Most recently when the climax of “Super Megaforce” turned out to be such a letdown.
